        Wirral History and Heritage Association (http://www.wirralheritage.org.uk/). The aims of the WHHA are "to increase awareness of Wirral’s historic environment and strive to improve access to Wirral’s unique history and heritage through providing information on the peninsula’s numerous historical, heritage and cultural societies/groups".
        Mike Royden's Local History Pages (http://www.btinternet.com/~m.royden/mrlhp/index.html). Mike Royden runs a local history course at the University of Liverpool Centre for Continuing Education. His site includes papers, articles and photographs on all aspects of Liverpool history.
        Council for British Archaeology (CBA) North West (http://www.britarch.ac.uk/cbanw/). The CBA is a charity which aims to "involve people in archaeology and to promote the appreciation and care of the historic environment". This site is for their regional group, which covers the counties of Cheshire and Lancashire, plus Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
